Speaking of idiot lights, they rock. How often do you really watch the gauges to monitor the engine? If you do get caught up in driving and not check them for a bit, they'll let you know something need attention NOW! You typically have dial gauges too, so one vote for idiot lights.

yeah, nice thing about idiot lights is ignorant bliss. Water temp light triggers about 245*, oil pressure about 7 psi. Carefree motoring as they used to say.

I would think those were not arbitrary numbers selected by the engineers but something between false alarm and shut off now!

I think that seller is fishing for fools gold.

Lower down it says it is a replica.
No VIN listed , no picture of VIN , no PHS.

Lemans grab bar on dash is an odd trinket
66 steering wheel
Single exhaust

You're probably right. This same car has sold three times, once for $27K and twice for $21K. This is somewhat odd, as the sellers that fish will list the car at NR, then pull the plug before it sells. Even if it is a Lemans, I think it's worth $21K.

I worked at a detail shop buffing out cars and spraying undercoating when I was 17. When you detail cars, it's very common to just half ass mask things off and paint the engine. So, obviously, it was Colonel Mustard in the library with the lead pipe.

Considering that in 1970 the WS code signified a Ram Air III with a manual transmission, and this car has no Ram Air and an automatic transmission ... some part of the seller's statement seems to be incorrect.

Did they offer a green convertible top on an A-body in 70?

69 Firebird 400 in Michigan at $12K BIN. I'm not a rust expert, but some of this looks pretty bad. Lot of good parts if it's a NM engine (it's what the ad says).

Interesting car. I wouldn't be able to visually ID one, but I wonder if that's an authentic '69 T/A rear spoiler. It looks like it's probably been on the car since before they were re-popped. And the car was sold new in Detroit. If there was anywhere in the country where it was possible to know someone who had access to "the good stuff", Detroit was it in those days.

Sure looks pretty legit. Some interesting items laying in the trunk also…original console, space-saver spare with original inflator, bumper jack.

If I could find a place to put it, this 69 Lemans GTO clone has a lot going for it at $4K BIN in CA. Claims to be a CA rust free body and has the GTO nose and front fenders, which are very choice parts used for Lemans clones. This car painted white with hideaways is always stunning.

Wow... 69 GTO Limelight green RAIV 4-speed M21 3:90 in Oklahoma at $70K BIN. Engine is all hot rodded up. That's a bummer. I find it amazing how many SD T/A's have their original engines, but the 67-70's cars get picked over. IMO, who cares if Butler can squeeze another 200HP out of it. That's not what makes it cool IMO, but rather its rarity for what it is. I would rather drive a stock RAIV than a hot rodded RAIV, but maybe it's just me? Beautiful car though. I love the rare colored cars.
