79 Trans AM 4-speed in Texas at $5600 NR. No engine and some rust, I doubt it climbs much higher than it is right now.

Rare color Aleutian Blue with a turquoise interior 68 GTO 4-speed in Florida at $50K BIN. I think too many people put too much weight on the original color of the car if it's missing the original engine. This color would be a fine choice. Looks good with the black vinyl top, and hideaways would look very cool. Stunning car.

I screwed up on the exterior color , that is a pretty reasonable color for Aleutian Blue.
But the interior isnt 68 Turquoise , it's 68 Blue.

Damn those are close. I assumed the turquoise is lighter, but it looks a little darker.

IMO Aleutian or Aegena blue with the teal interior is one of the best combos on a '68.

If we've seen this one before, it's worth seeing again just for the blue interior. 67 400 4-speed Firebird with 60K miles in Maryland at $55K.

Deluxe steering wheel, front and rear wheel opening moldings, bright interior roof rail and windshield garnish molding (hardtop coupe only), deluxe wheel covers and dual horns. (F) ... STEERING WHEELS DELUXE STEERING WHEEL (Code 462) Horn activator bars recessed into each of the two wheel spokes. Included in Custom Option. (Order by Trim Number.) CUSTOM SPORTS STEERING WHEEL (Code 471) Handsome "just-like-wood" appearance. Has three equally spaced, brushed stainless steel spokes. Horn button in center. (F) TILT STEERING WHEEL (Code 504) Adjusts to seven different positions for individual driving comfort. Permits easier entry and exit, better visibility for shorter people. Not available with standard steering, 3-speed column shift or Turbo Hydra-Matic without console. (F) ... Best answer I have off the top of my head and with a little searching. note that I have never owned a 1st gen, but in my younger day, I was pretty "up" on this stuff. Take that FWIW. The important thing to bear in mind is that the clear wheel *may* be correct for the car (at least it should have been available, and not like transplanting my clear wheel from my '63 Bonneville - LOL). HTH

It does match. Totally legit car. They have posted the BHC / PHS to the listing now. That is an extremely fair price for this car . Tyrol Blue , Blue Deluxe Interior , Tilt , Mint Clear Wheel , 400 , 4spd , Posi 3.55 , Factory Gauges and Hood Tach Last edited by Baron Von Zeppelin; 10-10-2025 at 02:26 PM. |

68 GTO in CA at $40K BIN. California blk/yel plate car with hideaways are both a big plus. Very reasonable asking price.

They got this car looking decent but this makes me feel a little better about using filler on my valance... I was fretting over it being more than 1/16" in places...
BTW, what is the value of the "black plate" thing? Were they not the standard plate in CA back then? |

“Black plate” used to imply that the car was originally a California car and that it was with its original owner. This doesn’t mean much anymore since California lets people put black plates on any cars retroactively.
