Here's an interesting backstory. Impounded 56 Catalina in NY with a reserve. There's a video posted of the engine, and it looks stock. The pinks and creams on this car are more art deco than in your face IMO. The interior is interesting, and not a color I would have chosen, but it looks nice, especially the headliner. If you owned a business and parked this out front, it would become a landmark as the pink Cadillac. Not Cadillac, Catalina. ...whatever.

Mr. Mud is back in Michigan at $13.5K BIN. 4 speed car and the fat stack side pipes were way rad back in the day. Stereo speakers perfectly placed in the console, in which to jam the new Journey 8 track. For $13.5K, if it runs?

79 WS7 Sundance yellow Trans AM with 92K miles in CA at $33K BIN. Original paint and interior. From what I Googled, they ran out of rear disc brake parts, so they added WS7, which was the WS6 with rear drums. Logic doesn't add up if true, as I always thought the "6" in WS6 means 6 suspension parts. Sharp color.

Prolly one of the most overpriced cars I've seen in some time, a 70 Lucy Blue Trans AM 4 speed in Washington at $150K BIN. Very nice car with a NOM 400 with Edelbrock heads and some 17" Rally II's. I don't get the chrome bling on the car. It doesn't make it go faster when the alternator and PB parts are chrome. The console is covered in some type of leather, which is something you don't see in most $100K+ cars. Again, nice car, just overpriced. I do love the 70-72 Lucy Blue cars, but I also dig the 17" honeycombs.

The door trim armrests have been leather-wrapped, too. Lots of custom work done on this one - most of it probably to the detriment of the car's value.

Even the upper door panels are non-stock by some procedure.
Seat covers might be synthetic leather hand made. Upper panels and seat covers are not from a catalog. Console is said to be Alcantara material . I guess that is a seude type of stuff. I like the engine itself. And the exterior paint looks good. Says his father bought it in 1971 with 6,000 miles. Might get half that price if he is Lucky Just noticed the rear plastic side panels have been covered in material also , with ribbing details similar match to door panels. Could have spent less and get higher return staying simpler on the interior and satin black underhood. Most likely a really good car though. 79 Trans AM gold car in AZ we've seen before with a reserve. Sun baked rust free is a great start. No T-tops is a great thing. Does the world need another solar gold 79 Trans AM? I used to have a T/A just like this (with T-tops) and sold it 15 years ago. I think it was the most popular color for T/A's in 79. It's a great base for a T/A clone of a 70-73. Not sure what the seller is asking, but at $8K it would probably sell IMO.

80 Trans AM in Ohio at $22K BIN. Car has its original dog engine and 108K miles, and being rust free, I think it's priced to sell. I've seen a lot of Trans AM's in the $50K plus range lately, and I don't think people are going to pay that much for a low mileage stock car. The interior isn't the best, but it can be upgraded. If it runs good, it'll probably keep running for 10 more years.
