When I wrote articles for HPP, it would be several months before they were printed and distributed. Guess that is part of the demise - old news

Totally off the wall but that's about when my drivers license expires out here in AZ. Cracks me up man, in MI we had to renew every 4 years. All I can say is "be aware" if you're ever in this area...

Looked at the new Hot Rod today. There was actually a tech article of the Pontiac 400. I was moderately shocked to say the least.

Got HPP today and read it cover to cover right away. (OK I did skip over the G8 article a little but will probably read it all later)

Not only no mention of this being the last issue, on page 31 they mention next month's story on the '74 GTO. I guess we will be waiting on that for a while.

And they still had the pull out subscription card stuck in there. I know there is a delay from when articles are written until they are printed but, these mags were just printed a couple of days ago, they could have pulled the cards out. They are just hoping to get somebody's money yet and switch them over to HotRod . Not going to get mine!
I used to get as many as 6 mags a month but now Smoke Signals is the only one.

I did the exact same thing. Whta really stinks is that HPP was getting more interesting as of late, like it used to be years ago.

Just imagine how easy it is to use fake I.D. out here...

Sir, that picture doesn't look anything like you.

Well no sh*t, it was taken 15 years ago.

Just got the last issue, Oct 2014.
Can anyone beat being paid up until April 2016?

By total coincidence, my subscription expired with the October 2014 issue. Guess I timed that right.

Sept 2017 for HPP.

Good news is, I have Hot Rod thru Aug 2015, so extending that is okay by me if that is the choice I'm given.

Mine did too. I am happy I didn't renew it to get a worthless mag..

That sucks! I don't want "Hot Rag" showing up in my mailbox. They can keep my money. Hot Rod is trash in my opinion.

I am/was paid up until April of 2018. Just did so this past spring. I have no desire to receive any other car magazine. I for one really enjoyed each issue of HPP.

Got my first issue of Car Craft the other day with a cover sheet explaining what is happening.

I wasn't given a choice. The Car Craft just showed up.

Since I already get Hot Rod, thought maybe they'd extend that subscription.

If there was a choice of Titles, I guess they decided what was best for me.

Too bad, I might have liked to choose another Title to try.

I read some of the Car Craft last night but don't remember anything of interest.

Anybody have anything good to say about Car Craft?

Actually, for me it was PHR, then CC, then HR (behind HPP of course). Kind of wish they took out HR instead of PHR. I barely get much out of HR. I just subscribe because it was dirt cheap.

When they start jacking up the prices now that they've eliminated the internal competition, there will be one more magazine I won't be getting.

I got a Motor Trend. I was wondering why I got it and figured bought me a subscription like he did a few years ago. Nope, the back cover said HPP folded and I'll be getting MT as a replacement. Oh joy...NOT...

Why do these magazine companies "assume" that we would want to read just "any" automotive publication??? They haven't a clue about what is going on. Motor Trend?? I cant stand reading about newer cars. Those magazines are an ad brochure, front to rear. If I (or any of you) wanted a subscription to one of these other rags, we would have a subscription to it. I would prefer a refund. (They do it because it is easier on them, and they get to keep the money.)
