WOW.......

I have a Q.........do you know what the last line on the left of the invoice is? (adv assn...)

I've never seen it before.

yes, this is the explanation from www.musclecarfilms.com/Pontiac_Invoice.html

ADV. ASSN. COL and OPTIONAL LOC - Probably the single biggest question people have about their invoice is "What is this option?"

Well, it's not really an option at all. These two terms refer to the Optional Location Advertising Association Collection program, abbreviated as
OPTIONAL LOC and ADV ASSN COL on the invoice, appearing in two columns due to space limitations. Pontiac allowed dealers in particular
sales areas to choose to participate in extra ad placements in various media advertisements.

The ads were intended to benefit all dealers in that
local area, so they all agreed to share the cost. When a car was sold by a dealer that participated in the program, the fee would go towards the advertising pool.

So when you see the terms ADV ASSN COL and OPTIONAL LOC on an invoice (they will always appear together, sometimes reversed, but always together), it's really nothing of importance, it just shows that the dealer participated in the advertising program.

As a side note, the fee was always $10.00.

That's a beauty. Is that all these cars in that condition are worth these days?

I'd like to own one of these one day, but my other car would have to go first.

Good luck, nice car.

If you could do that i would be delighted! I am looking for a nice 69/70 GP but coming from Germany i would have to buy based on pictures...it would be great if you could have a real close look or maybe even testdrive it...

Question Curious...

A '69 blue/blue w/@ 54k miles and NO A/C was for sale locally at a show here this weekend. Just how rare is a '69 GP sans air conditioning? Even the four speed J Model I owned had A/C. Just curious. BTW, Castillian is my favorite color on a GP.

Default SOLD

UPDATE: Car is SOLD and with its new owner in Omaha, Nebraska.

She's a beauty indeed and I too was surprised it took so long to move.

In the end, the first and only person who saw the car in person, ended up buying it.

I guess "location, location, location" was the key to this one.

Surprising, because I've purchased all my GPs from a great distance away and found that all you need is to have open, honest, no BS conversations with people to get a real idea of what is what on these. Seems like a lot of folks never take the first step to actually have live conversations about purchasing a car.

Anyhoo, no classic cars in my garage now, but I'm sure I'll have another when the babies get a bit older.

Take care all, Mike in Nebraska

Congrats on the sale of the G.P. I have always wanted one of these and loved the color combo on your car. Trying to get the house paid off so i can retire in the next year.Hopefully the government will keep their hands off my 401k so i can look for a G.P. in the future.
