It is a beautiful car. I would love to have it.

Also, maybe someone will explain why it shows a gold oil pressure sender except the one close up picture with a black sender. I suppose the black sender replaced the gold one which does not look like an original. I am assuming that all the pictures are of the same car.

On the black sender, I believe originals were black top, replacements all gold cad, at least on 70s anyway. Please refer to post #72 on my resto thread.

Owner is a member here. Would be interesting to know who performed the restoration. Was it performed in the late 90's?

ive had 69 70 and 71 date coded gold cad senders..a lot..and i mean a lot of them, many NOS...only a few black ones....

just my personal experience

The black sender looks like an original 6462137 sender but the gold one looks like a replacement sender--that was my point. It was probably replaced along the way to make the car more correct.
