Default 68 Tempest or 61-63 w/ drive conversion

Just throwing this out there. I'm in an undecided camp right now on what I want.

WANTED: 1968 Tempest, 2dr.. Dark Green (no sale green lol), OHC-6 w/3 spd on tree (converted to floor OK). Will consider v8s too, AC a plus. Basically, the low low dollar version. Base may have rubber mat, but carpet OK too. Must be in VG condition, no projects please. Reasonably priced.

WANTED: 1961-63 Tempest with converted MODERN drivetrain (v8- w-straight axle) Looking for stock LOOKING street car, not a race car.

Not going to buy both, but whatever one of the two is "right" to buy. IF buying one of these 2, I will then sell of (or trade), my stock 61 Tempest 2dr. 4cyl. auto. Orig. paint car w/ new interior. I DONT want to convert this car....it deserves to live as is.

IF nothing can be found, I'll probably keep the 61 and paint and drive.

I know that I do not want: a project, a GTO or similarly high value vehicle. I just want a nice icecream getter to use with the kids! thanks!

Default I have a Corect restored 1968 Tempest

I have a correct restored 1968 Tempest OHC6 Correct restored matching #'s Beautiful GREEN lol! Which I am a fan of the Green. She has 68k actual miles ,2speed powerglide automatic. Non AC car,non power steering, non power brakes. It is the cheepest Tempest package offered.Has new interior where it was needed. Carpet, seats recovered, hat package tray, headliner will be installed this week. All parts were Ames performance parts.Has the original dashpad 1 small crack. "I could have it converted to disk brakes for extra$$$$. I also have the original wheels with the PMD hubcaps would come with the car free. But we added a classic Rally II wheel painted to match the car with the Grey .It gives the tempest the GTO stance it needs. I have a complete photo album of this restoration. All original floor pans and trunk pans very solid Alabama/GA car.The build sheet was still behind the rear seat. T-Bone & Me is our Full Restoration & Parts needs in Attalla,AL we restore all kinds of muscle, classic, rat rod,hot rod, etc. Have many years of restoration qualifications under Body By Fisher. A buddy of mine has my old 68 LeMans. It is a 350/2 speed. It needs restored and possibly put back together. When I had it, it ran well and was pretty complete. Black interior, floor shift. If this may interest you, send me an email at
ramairformula400@aol.com. I will forward it to my buddy. He lives in Port Matilda, Pa outside of State College.

I bought my 63 Lemans conv already converted 350/350/3.42 rear & love it. I really don't think i would have liked it stock, 4 cyl, 3 spd. But, that's me.
Totally different from other cars. 68 ehhh - just another 68.
I suggest keep looking. Well worth it!
