I am trying to hold on to my sanity and the Trans Am...I do not see my dream happening...someone would have to offer to store this car for me in the hopes I can turn things around...if that does not happen...and this hurts to type this...I will have to offer the T/A for sale....if anyone is intrested I would ask that you look and read the thread and make an offer via PM....I will check back in a few weeks...I would not post this if I did not mean it..I wish I could say more but this is difficult enough TA72

Great thread, I don't like the ending , but I understand that circumstances can change. However, sometimes, sitting back and analizing the situation produces some possible alternatives that weren't thought of before.

PAGE 4?...it has been awhile....bumping up to get back to work on the T/A and I had just installed a rear package tray....how qiuckly they forget...look for a new poor rmans garage....and thankfully I did not have to give the T/A away..but it was close

SO THAT WAS WEIRD...I called on my Waldron muffler and tip pipes (with hangers welded on)..ordered 0n 6/2 and they came today...need to compare to originals and will post photos...nothing like brand new parts to work with...... and somebody up there likes me...

Just checking, did you ever get your seat backs redone by Just Dashes? I was curious how they came out, how close the grain pattern matches the original plastic and whether it has a "padded" look. Any comments and pictures would be great. Mine are in bad shape and I believe this is the only option. Thanks

not yet...they are in delay mode...I moved my car last week..I need to post pics of the sabatoge done by the dope smoking H.S. kids the day before I moved my car...reminds me why I never had my own...although it goes directly back to the parents in this case

I am using a library computer and I still need to work out the kinks..getting ready to install the new muffler & tailpipes and will ask advice when I am organized..my seat back panels are paid but not due in for another month..and the T/A is in a new garage

so IMO the repo 1970 to 74 traverse muffler is an exact looking replacement..the tailpipes look good with kinks and bends all in the right places and the welded on hangers are a close match..was happy to get them from a company like WALDRON than having a muffler shop make me a set and reuse my old brackets..as they claim to use the factory blueprints

a P.Y. member had posted a photo of a low miles 71 T/A..I never picked up on the positive cable routing thru the gearbox...makes sense and keeps the cable away from the block..this is a repop cable..most likely a cable with the weave (I have seen them advertised) would be more correct for 1972 but really I have yet to see detail photos of a low miles 72

any GM PONTIAC super sleuth want to comment on these hose markings....I see a touch of blue (whatever that means)...the one with the lettering should be original...and of course the vent pipe are not

lucky for me the car had new drop link bushings installed (most likely at the dealer, as who else would have them)...they have a slit so the easy installation method was preffered...silver overspray on that part (from the repaint) indicates that they were painted black at the factory?
