Real time results are the best...pulling my tailpipes leaves a very efficient exhaust up front...3 inch with a X and Ultraflows......how were those Torque Tech tailpipes for fit??

I have always had a thing for engines that Like a big Load on them like they could care less! My Dads 75 GP all Black 455 TH400 with 2.56 gears, we would tow our big ski boat and trailer up over Mt Hood like it was nothing! That left a big impression on me as a young kid! Especially when we got a brand new Dually with a 454 and it struggled its ass off to do the same trip
Pontiac's are Awesome! That 455 had 1970 parts in it, 066 cam, small valve 15 heads, 70 4bbl And HO manifolds with dual 2.25" exhaust Junk parts by todays standards but as a little kid it was Amazing lol

TAman aka "Ernie" is an inspiration and shows people a different method to going fast while remaining Cadillac Like Streetability!
Its not for everyone! You will here a LOT of people saying get an Overdrive and throw some real gears in there and yes that would get him in the tens, it Just Comes Down to what you want to do with your car! I don't know of any other cars running Ernie's ET's with just a 461 and a head with only 197cc runner, heck his heads are not even the latest version Dave Offers! I believe Ernie's car with a few well chosen upgrades will run 10.90's at 123mph

They fit great! Not SS but aluminized. Same ones still on the 78 for the past 10 years!

I follow and enjoy reading about your car alot. Freaking fast. I also want to drive my car on the street and the track. My goal will be to run low 11's, I won't be running 3.08 gears since my 69 firebird has a Dana 60, 3.54's. But that's all good. Can't wait for you to hit a 10 second pass.

The X pipe sure could have been some of the deal also over the H pipe. But it was tuned with H pipe first as well as the open header runs, then retuned with X.
Torque Tech make some nice fitting exhaust. My old Buick buddies turned me on to them back in the 90s.

Have you been to their website lately? Sadly it turns out Torque Tech is closing its doors..."retiring".

This is Not the Cheapest way to go fast but for me there is a couple reasons i enjoy cars that can do what Ernies does!
1. No reason to Build a High RPM engine to go fast unless you can't go fast with a Low RPM Street setup! He is Achieving his goals with out having 7.000rpm shift points and 4.000rpm on the freeway at 60mph! 2. Its much easier on parts! Saves money so you can spend it on building an even bigger beast! 3. Its the Biggest Ego Bump ever when you tell people your combo and they are looking everywhere for the nitrous! Lol 4. Since you are not tearing stuff up all the time you get to go out and enjoy your car more! And you can even hear your radio because you aren't buzzing down the road at 4k rpm with Dual 3" exhaust! 5. You are Playing into a Pontiac Engines Strengths! Massive Power Right F'n Now! I use to run Big Block Chevys when i was young and even with a really nicely built 454 with a solid cam and "Small" Oval Ports at 255cc, RPM intake it couldn't hold a candle to any Pontiac i have ever built on the Street! Sure i can build a 496 chevy that makes great power but the pontiac just flat kills it on the street!

Torque Techs are set up for offset-offset and I had mounted my electric pump on the frame rail and used offset-center outlets so we added enough between the two piece tailpipes on mine.

My buddy built a ford Mustang fox 306 cid. block, Pretty basic. That thing will run 7.20 at the 1/8. Drove it every where. There is other brands with smaller engines running faster than bbc.

I wasn't expecting huge results due to the hot weather compared to the last outing..I will check the DA of both days to see what it was...Ran five times..1st pass 11.23/121.28 1.6469 60ft,2nd pass 11.21/121.52/1.6457 60ft,3rd pass 11.2179/121.97/1.6810 60ft,4th pass 11.2052/122.23/1.6782 60ft,5th pass smoked the tires track got dirty from some trucks 11.566/121.92/1.8879 60ft
Beat the old best by quite a margin in warmer weather..the tailpipes were a restriction.
