I'm getting ready to install the kick panels and fresh air vents on my '62 convertible, and have a couple of questions.

1. It looks like there was some kind of foam gasket between the fresh air vent and the car chassis. Any suggestions on what to use? I was thinking of getting some 1/4 rubber matt and cutting it to size.

2. Does the rear edge of the kick panel tuck in behind the metal strip? I don't know how else to describe it. There's a metal strip, attached to the chassis, that's parallel to the door frame. Either the kick panel tucks in behind this metal, or it doesn't and some piece of plastic trim I don't have holds it in place. I think it tucks in behind, but I would like confirmation.

Get some foam insulation with stick'm on the back , works good. The kind they sell in the hardware store. Yes the kick panel tucks in behind the metal strip, keeps it in place. John
