Charles,
When and if I get the wheel back I will post pictures. I was very pleased with the way it turned out the first time. I just wish the finish hadn't come off.

Still waiting on my wheel. I will call them this week but I probably won't get the answer I want. I also bought a new starter as the one in the car is acting up. I am going to order "correct" battery cables and a few minor pieces soon and will replace the starter when that gets here.
It's been so hot that I haven't taken the car out any this week. That's about it for now. Y'all have a good one.

I think you're beginning to realize Phil, that this NEVER really ends.

I don't think we really want it to end. It's nice having an attention getting car, even nicer being able to get in it and go. But, to me, the real thrill was in the chase and, after finding the car, seeing it come back from the dead and knowing that I was able to do a little of it myself.

I called PY about my wheel again and was told that the shipping guy was off last week and won't be back until Tuesday
Maybe I will hear something next week. And, I have another problem; my convertible top pulled loose at the bottom side of the rear window on the passenger side. I contacted the installer and as soon as I am able I will be taking the car back to him to get this issue resolved. That's a 4 hour trip one way! But, there is no one around here that I would trust to do this repair. Oh well, that's the joy of owning an old car!

Another week and still no word on my steering wheel! I sure hope it is here by the end of October as I would like to take the car to the Emerald Coast Cruise in Panama City the first week of November.
I checked on the Atlanta show but don't think I will make it this year. I still have to get my car back to Ellijay and have the top repaired. Well, it's time to put the steak on the grill so I'll close for this week. Y'all have a good one.

Still no news on my steering wheel. I guess the show on the 20th is out. I haven't been able to do anything to the car anyway, because my back is still hurting from the wreck I was in over a month ago. I finally got to see an Orthopedist Friday and he gave me some topical medication to help relieve the pain. I wear patches for 12 hours then use a cream, applied every 3 hours for the next twelve. Then it's back to the patch. But, I can already tell they are working.
Oh well, enough griping, it's time for ice cream. Y'all have a good one.

I called PY again last week and was told the wheel was back from being re-molded and was in the process of being stained. But, they have to have the right weather to do the staining!? Oh well, it will get here when it gets here.
I did get some good news. I don't have to take my car to Ellijay to have the top fixed. They are coming down here tomorrow to work on another car and will fix mine while they are here. That saves me a 5 hour trip one way. Other than that I haven't done anything to the car.

I got the top fixed last Monday at no charge. Now, if I can get my steering wheel back I'll be a happy camper. I want to take the car to the Emerald Coast Cruise in the first week of November but that's only a month away!
Y'all have a good one.

Still no wheel! I called Friday afternoon and was told the guy they needed to talk to about it had already left for the day. They said they would call me back Monday morning so I will wait and see.

Well, I am disappointed with PY customer service to say the least. They never called me back and I still don't have my steering wheel. I finally called them Friday but the CS rep I have been talking to "was on another line". The first time I sent my wheel in it took about six weeks to do. So far it has been sixteen weeks and counting! If I don't get it back this week I will miss the annual show here. And, I don't want to make reservations for Panama City the first week of November because I don't know if my wheel will be back by then!
And, to top it off my convertible top motor stopped working and I can't crawl into the trunk to check it because of a pinched nerve in my back. I guess I'm through crying now so I'll end this post. Y'all have a good one.

I finally got an answer from PY about my wheel. To make a long story short they are going to start telling folks it may take up to 6 months to get a wheel redone. Hopefully I will get mine back next week. Even though I didn't have it for our local annual car show I entered my car anyway and took second place in my class.

Especially if you cover them with something like this!
It's a long sleeve shirt I bought at Cracker Barrel 7 or 8 years ago.
