Progress is good!!! Maybe we'll see you out in 2015? Hope so, the setback with the motor really messed up your timeline. Glad to see you persevere and hope to see this car fly soon.

Ed,
That thing looks BAD A$$$. What color are you going to paint the car? You may have mentioned it, but I don't remember.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the support, both moral and technical

Early spring is the target, the local track closes at the end of October here in NH. The 69 Bird is going to be black.

Little more work left todo on the front end in order to drop the oil pan without pulling the engine.

Have your guy put some addition weld on the seams of that subframe, Ed, as it will see a lot of stress (as a drag car) even with the "J-Tubes" welded on.

My rack and a-arms are theirs also. Really happy with all of it and makes for a nice, clean install. After everything was aligned, car drives great with no bump steer issues even with a decent wheelie. I didn't like the way the TMZ rack setup was for F-X body subframes. I also cut the center crossmember, capped both ends, and added a pieces of 1 5/8" tubing to reconnect the 2 sides to make it easy to get to a diaper and for header clearances. It all worked out perfectly.

Hey Tom,

Got it, some of that was done last week.

Ed

Believe this is similar to what Rob B mentioned.

What we did on the '78 T/A - center section fabbed with 2 tubes (DOM), and also a forged eyebolt in center for tow hook up. Also cut down the upper side(s) of the crossmember to create more header clearance.

Thanks Brian,

If you have space, I’ll take it. My crew is very quiet, don't drink much and usually go to bed really early

How’s your bird doing?

RAIV, I see your heads/intake package in the classified section. What are you going to use?
