Ok, my bad. They have a 20 piece (box) limit. 1000 round.
Going by that, just in the caliber / brand / bullet weight I just bought, Lucky Gunner is $4.80 cheaper per 1000. Natchez my be less in other rounds.

Yep - there's some give and take involved. I subscribe to Natchez e-mail alerts, and they DO offer some pretty good pricing on their specials.

Until VERY recently though, Lucky Gunner was somewhat higher than the average on-line store. Great folks there, but a bit higher than the market since Sandy Hook.

Yessir.

Until very recently, I found absolutely NO decent .22LR rounds for sale at local B&M stores.

Fortunately I was at a Carters Country recently and they had a 1000 round limit on any .22 LR ammo. I purchased 3 ea. 300 round boxes of CCI tactical for about $85.00 including sales tax. Too much money, but they had it in stock and my S&W M&P 15-22 likes it.

I can buy 5.56, and .40 cal rounds any day of the week
My 300blk AR?? Only 1 local tactical store has them...
Still cheaper buying from them at a buck per round, then buying online

No problems for me to get .22lr ammo
Sometimes I pay more then I care to (shipping charges)
But you'd be surprised at how many smaller towns have a ton of .22's
A buddy of mine scored a total of 3,000 rounds for me out of Wisconsin..
Costed me $200 to reimburse him, and pay shipping

I would recommend that everyone stock up (stack it deep when ts cheap) since we are due for another panic. Basic calibers are aplenty and ammo cans, although pricey, are in stock everywhere to fill even the modest stash. AR's are soooo cheap its silly and they are on every wall in the shops and online. Buy'em up guys, buy'em up.

I was speaking with a customer recently and he suggested http://www.sgammo.com/

Pricing seems to be good.

I dont get why 22 ammo is in short supply. The 22 round is like shooting a BB gun round and is fun for target practice but not much else. Are there that many Elmer Fudds out there...........rabbit season. If you really want to let off some rounds why not the 5.56 since it is so cheap. If you want to make a lot of noise then 7.62 is also fun and cheap.

Their prices are comparable to Ammo to Go, but little cheaper than Lucky Gunner. The ammo I want is currently out of stock, but I put my name on their contact list for when it's back in stock. Thanks for the info, David.

NEVER seen a BB gun that would KILL you. You might want to consult a Spec Ops member on one of their most effective short range (5' or less) weapons (hint: it's made by Ruger). I've been hunting rabbits since I was 10. Only used a rifle ONCE. Shotguns are far more effective. The shortage of .22 LR is based on a lack of production due to its relatively high cost of manufacturing compared to centerfire ammo. The DOLTS buying thousands of rounds HOPING to "strike it rich" contribute to the problem. I would have to assume you're talking about 7.62 X 39mm being "cheap" to shoot. I own an M1A. 7.62 NATO (7.62 x 51mm) certainly ISN'T "cheap".........

Tons of newbies to shooting. They ALL use .22 LR. Lots of "training" & target practice is a big contributor to shortage from what a large seller was telling me.

Prices are down from then, but are still too high, IMO.
CTD is the worst sell out POS company ever to exist. There are too many other reputable companies to do business with than these crooks.

Don't sell air rifles short, my gammo shoots clean through the skulls of possums and raccoons. My buddies 50 cal airgun takes out hogs with head shots and some hunters use them for deer sized game. It would kill a man without any problem. They have come a long way since my early days of a Daisy Red Rider. X2 with all the idiots buying huge amounts .22 trying to resell online. This has become a bigger problem since the last two big shortages. I am looking to up my .22 supply as I am waiting for my ATF approval for a .22 suppressor I recently ordered for my wife's Ruger 10-22 takedown. It is hard to find sub sonic 22's around here but I have been able to get it online, just way too expensive. I remember after Sandy Hook people were selling 5.56 mags for over 50 bucks a piece and idiots were paying that for them. Cheaper Than Dirt tried to rape people after that tragedy and I wouldn't buy from them now if they were the only place around, they really tried to screw people over.

You need to check out some of the newer air rifles.
3000 + fps is heck a lot of power.
A buddy has one that kills woodchucks 100 feet away. Probly go further, but dosnt have a scope.
Think he said it cost around $2300 bucks!
