Default 1964 Lemans hardtop weatherstrip question

Need some help please. On a 64 hardtop, is there another channel the roof rail weather strip goes into on the front pillar? Or does it get glued to the stainless pillar trim? I included a pic circled in red to help identify what I am talking about. Unfortunately, I did not take all of this car apart. The pic is someone else's car, I was combing for answers but still cannot get a good visual on it. Thanks

Weatherstrip channel is 3 pcs, from 1/4 to pillar then a small corner then the pillar channel , there is also a additional pc. of trim that follows the pillar . Between the channel & body is a flat thin strip of dum dum sealer . Glue the weatherstrip in channel when all is installed , couple of plastic push in buttons at the edge above the top door hinge area .
