Sorry Keith It was almost 48 years ago. I would have been undercoating the car but don't recall where it was attached.
Question Keith, Where would my Kansas City built '67 GTO motor have been assembled ? The motor serial # (047352) is no where near my 2 other '67's (539450 & 547189) built the same week, only at the Pontiac Plant. it's a weird coincidence that my first new '67 and the 2 converts I now own were built just days apart.

Here's another item. When I was working for the Phone Co. I used do get to walk around in here and watch them stamping body parts. GM closed this plant in the early 90's the building was torn down and now its a UPS Hub Site.

John Went to my garage to get your info. I'm currently building the Kansas City assembled convert. Turns out the PHS Invoice has a Typo, the engine serial # is 447352 not 047352 This an HO engine code WS, casting date C147, Block 9786133. VIN is 242677K126223, 4-spd trans

Pontiac built hdtp engine serial # 539450 engine code WT, 3-spd man. trans, sold car in 1968. VIN 242177P261831

Pontiac built convert engine serial # 547189 engine code WT, 4-spd man trans, car doesn't have this motor anymore. VIN 242677P264654

Thank you; all PMD engines were assembled cast, machined and assembled in Pontiac Michigan.

This factory photo of a 1966 "YS" engine has the tag like the one I submitted at the start of this thread attached to the top of the trolley.

This was originally taken from Paul Zazzarine's book "Pontiac's Greatest Decade" 1959-1969: The Wide Track Era.

SR, here's a smaller version with a width of 819 pixels and height of 751 pixels. Rt click on the attachment and "Save picture as" from there. Hope it helps.
