Cool! Another one! You need to get it out in the daylight more often. More pics please!

I need to start saving money now to make the trip to the T/A Nats. I would really like to meet all you guys and see your cars in person. The last time I went to the Nationals in Dayton was back in 2001. It was like heaven back then. I had never seen so many Firebirds in one place. Sounds like this year could be the biggest yet. I'm stoked!

Yeah, and they questioned the gloss of the air cleaner paint and the oil shield over the a/c compressor. Eventually they calmed down though...

Start saving, you'll be glad you did. Hope you can make it.

Any other 455 HO Formulas out there to join the party?

I thought about suggesting he send one my way and I would get it going, and give it good fluff and buff before the show, but figured even that wouldn't do the trick. After thirty years it might be unecessary though as it could be shown as is and declared a "barn find".

of all the things I just don't have a good explanation for is that I have never made it to the nats there. up until a few years ago I always coached football and that was the start of the season and I just couldn't get away. now it is just about the start of school for my kids and I just wish it were a couple of weeks earlier. however, boss I might just show up with a 68 ra2 gto in a trailer and trade it for a 73 Suzuki 50 gaucho.

I love that pic. chris actually sent me a video of him and a buddy out riding my Suzuki a few months ago. I stumbled on to this one and a trailhopper really close to my house the other day.

HA! It's only been here a few years.

We were bored one afternoon so Rob took it for a rip up & down the driveway.

Let's get this thread back on point...

I pulled the cover back on the Black Car this weekend to look things over in the engine compartment and thought it looked pretty cool sitting there looking out.

It was painted in 1985 after the first owner sold it to a flipper. It stayed in Canada until 2011 and had severe acid rain damage when I got it. I wet sanded the whole car from 500 grit through 5000 and then buffed it out. It looks pretty respectable now. The interior has been mostly reworked at one time or another, and NJSteve rebuilt the engine and did some under hood clean up which I expanded in somewhat. I would say it has been lightly and sympathetically restored. Here's a copy of the add from Hemmings when the car was sold by the Flipper in '85 or '86. I think that's pretty cool.
