Default Project Phoenix...pics of my rebuild so far.

I've been waiting for this for several years now (I had to be very patient with my pending divorce proceedings looming overhead) and now that everything is done the rebuild has begun!!!

So far I had the cage upgraded to 25.5, intercooler mounted, completed TRZ steering column with removable steering wheel, seat mounted, race glass installed (later when the car is done), some suspension work, tubular radiator support with a fuel cell mounted to it, and a new lift-off hood. I have a bunch of stuff I did with the motor and trans as well. She will be a completely different animal when she comes back out!

Special thanks to the Rhodes Custom Auto boys Ron, Ronnie, Larry, and John for all of their hard work. More pics to come as I continue the rebuild.

Can't wait to see this beast back out Brian. Congratulations on the progress! Work looks top notch as usual. Always impressed with the "show cars" from the ECM. You guys work hard and have nice equipment.

I like the core support. how did they make it? let the fenders hang or from stock dimensions? or does he have a jig since Camaro ones are the same?

Thanks everyone...the plan is to be out this spring God willing!

Jim,

Yes they have a jig set up, but everything body panel wise mounts to the factory location. I even had the "triangle pieces" that connect the radiator support and fenders together modified to try and keep the "factory look" as much as possible. I save 8lbs changing to that core support.

Looks good...what class do you plan to race in...or any heads up programs...would be a great to see it grudge race and hurt a few feelings.

I'm going to run the Wounded Warriors Series at Capital, some radial races and of course Pontiac events

Last time I saw your car I commented on the show car appearance of your race car, looks like that hasn't changed, except it will be faster. Lookin good!
