hey guys...that could very well be the SD clone I built back in '94. I would have thought otherwise but the SD sticker on a chrome valve cover is just the way I put it together.

It has a service replacement block with all the SD hardware.
Sure would like to see the interior to confirm it.

It went through a few owners after I sold it in '97.

The car eventually went to Arizona around 2002 or so and was listed on ebay with Arizona "historic" plates. That's the last I saw of it.

Wasn't your old car a four speed?

This car has a super duty engine but is just the standard 73 TA vin number.
Not a TA clone but not a SD. I didn't get any block or head numbers.

Larry, It sure would be cool to finally find your old ride. It would make a great story in a publication like Muscle Car Review.

Default Newbe Here

I didn't know this forum existed!
I've been a long Pontiac TA nut. I bought my first car in 73, a white 73 with a Y code 455, the salesman talked me out of the SD engine...
I still have it and have amassed the correct 73 SD parts to make it correct.

I also own an original Blue 455SD TA as well, I restored it in the 90's.

I'm thinking about getting out of this hobby, just turned 60 this year and have some tired old bones that don't like the cold concrete garage floors much anymore.

I've taken up a new hobby, gun collecting, mainly Colts, it's much easier the body. Is there much demand for these Pontiacs and SD parts?

Thanks,
Darryl

The 73 SD parts I have is an original block (no casting lug), heads, crank & rods.
I was told it was from a wrecked car in Canada when I bought them in the 80's

We have a great 4 Sale section here. When you get some pics and ideas of what you want for them, I'm sure they'll sell fast. Bonus points from me if you have a 73 EGR valve for sale.

Sorry, no intake or distributor parts, my intent was to build it to run. Nunzi style, with aftermarket HP parts.
The 74 is all original, bone stock.

Well, I'm really looking forward to seeing pics of your cars! And be sure to list those parts here when you are ready. They'll go to a good home for sure.

Most Value of the 74 SD are their original survivor status in great condition and the third pedal.

Welcome Darryl!

SD's are awesome.
Should be no problem selling any of it.

Here I was thinking I'd have to go the Hemming News route?
You can tell I've been from this a while :-)
