I just received a box of the "reproduced" Torque Tube Bushings or as GM calls them Insulators that were made using a nos insulator # 541662 to create a new mould. I've got em with bearings and without (your choice) I'll try and get them posted on the new parts for sale thread along with Pic's sometime next week. Also working to "reproduce" the rear crossmember to body upper & lower "Insulators" using the same guy in NC. I'll try to keep everyone informed as we progress on that project.

Ok Guys.. as I indicated a couple days ago, I finally received shipment of Torque Tube Insulators with bearings from a source in NC. These are copies made from the mould of a NOS Insulator, part # 541662. They fit 62-63 Torque Tubes and Shafts. I've got 15 sets and I'm keeping some for my own use. They haven't been Lab Tested or Road Tested so there's NO Warranty Stated or Implied, Written or Otherwise and I'm in the "same boat" as the rest of us. That stated, they look as good or better than my NOS part and are made from current rubber compounds not 50 year old stuff and they come with new bearings. They're $ 140 a pair with shipping included. If you're still interested send me a PM with your email address and I'll get in touch. For some reason, I haven't been able to upload pic's (I'll have to ask my son to come over and show me!) but there are some pic's that are still under the same Title that were posted back in May of last year.
Thanks, JK |

I have been trying to send a PM but continuously get a page stating a "database error". Chiefkey, try to send me a PM. Count me in for a pair of bushings and hopefully we can sort out the this communication issue.

Apparently the PM service is still having glitches. Anyone needing new Torque Tube Insulators can just go ahead and email me at [email protected]. Also, my next project is to try and "reproduce" the Rear Crossmember to Body Insulators. They are listed as GM # 544973 Insulator (upper) and # 544974 Insulator (lower). I've got a few used examples, but n.o.s. would really be better to use as a pattern. If anyone can help please send me an email.
Thanks, JK |

Jeff, Glad to see this finally happened. Great job!
Did you get a chance to see about getting the sway bar end link bushings repro-ed? The photo is from this post: http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/...y+bar+end+link Thanks again for the effort! Doug |

If you can come up with the parts shown in the attached thumbnail, my guy say we can make it, no problem. Let me know at [email protected].
Thanks, JK |
