I'm sure this has been posted before, but since this page started w Rockford Files Theme what the heck:
IIRC - Rockford (James Garner) didn't like the newer '79 nose treatment, his preference was the earlier version and he finished out "The Rockford Files" production with the earlier version shown in the background below, yes?  |

The car was destroyed by the mob in the next to the last season. he woke up & came out from a bad night & when he saw his car he started to yell a bit. He was very upset about it & said something like why did they have to take it out on my car.
