Those caps are at leasted staked to keep them from turning/ falling off. My caps just sit on the plastic with little to no resistance. I read someone epoxyed those to the plastic. I think that's what I'll have to do. I just went to the hardware store and bought what I thought would thread into the tangs but when I got home they fit inside the hole I put black marker on the bolt tips and rubbed them on the inside of the housing to see how far off my housing holes are. I'm going to have to drill new holes in the housing. And the bolts I have are about the same length I can put a small lock nut on the inside of the housing.
Those pictures help a lot especially with the ground straps. I think I need to drill out the license plate bracket holes also the plate went right on but it looks crooked. I'll measure it for sure. |

I epoxied the tail light lense screw caps. Hopefully by the end of March I'll have everything to reassemble

April update. Finally got all my parts back. I sent the left housing in for to get some custom led taillights. Easy performance is now selling them they retail at 225.
I have to redo the grounds straps the bumper mounts hit them. The straps I have are flat metal. The new bolts I got won't fit through the bumper. My guess is the chrome is too thick. I'm going to sand down the square section of the bumper bolt. |

Led taillights sequential. 10 different settings.
You can change them by pressing the button on the front were my finger is. Doors require pulling the lense off. |

My original bolts wouldn't fit through the repop bumper holes either. I filed mine down just like you are doing.

If my car wasn't done so much stock, that'd be a cool mod. I think it'd be amazing on the 65-67s.
