Thumbs up Track Times

Well, Im pretty happy for the first time out on new combo, with no tuning , etc.. Terrible headwind today, and track was not good, a lot of street cars, so it was hit or miss! I still managed 10.40@129 mph! That was the best, but it was still only a 1.52 spinning! Leaving off idle still. The rest of the day was spin and shift immediately! I made it to finals in money and lost by .003 on a double breakout.!! Still a 100 bucks, paid for the day and then some, and the car is back home safe, drove it there and back I can easily see 10.20's with traction! Shifted at 6700, thru the stripe at 6700 also, a little more slip then I would like, but the car liked it.

Nice! Did you change the converter too or is it slipping more from the added power?

I agree Brian, Its there just needs tweaking. Did not change converter ,Lenny said it would be fine, so I went with it. It was about 6400 last year at 125-126.

Good job Darby. Those 60ft will drop with traction. Should see low teens.

Great job Darby. Very impressive for a motor you can drive to the track! Atleast your out racing, some of us are watching paint dry, lol. I agree with the above statements, get that 60 where it needs to be, and very very low 10's are possible.

I bet you are happy that POncho is back on the track kicking ass! Best of luck with your tuning efforts this year.

Thanks Guys! I'm very happy with the performance on its first outing, and in a pretty bad headwind! Backed up the dyno
Here's a 10.45 pass, only a 1.54 60ft. Well see what happens on the 3rd for first official race!
