So you wouldn't have any problem letting your car run for several minutes then racing? It is a street car still right?

Tom should spend more time on ford forums, why does he live on a Pontiac site?

All bs a side, if both parties show it should be a great day for the Pontiac faithful.

DF is bringing a bad 69 bird with very nice power topped with CV-1 heads.

LJ is bringing a killer GTO with ba Visner billet heads and intake.

LJ has demonstrated quick times as well as DF. Pick your camp, that's fine. But if this race happens it's the most anticipated race in the last few years.

Good luck to both camps and let the baddest machine win. It's going to be good!

I'm looking forward to this race happening. My biggest hope is that both combinations exceed the naysayers expectations. Beyond that, I don't really care who wins.

Default Apples to Oranges

It is sort of apples and oranges. 1/8 mile car vs 1/4 mile car. If Jack wins to the 1/8, and Fulton wins to the 1/4, what did it prove? It proved both guys have bad azz cars that I wish I could afford and race. It's like a prise fight, talk the chit, after the fighters hug and say good fight!

This whole thing reminds me of a "first prom date" weeks and weeks of planning and anticipation and when you finally are ready to "get some" spurrrrrrrt its all over in a flash. and then all the details get exaggerated and stories told till the end of time with each reiteration getting bigger and bad-er till the end of time. lol have fun.

Has there been a time and day picked for this race?

Is this a Friday night race?

Can someone post what day this race will happen, I would hate to miss it.

If Dick wants, every time he goes up to make a pass this race can happen!

I honestly think Dick is at a disadvantage with not being able to test much if any before Norwalk.

If Jack lines up with Dick 5 or 6 times, by run #6 the crowd will be a fraction of the number at the first pass. Sounds like jack will be there every time Fulton stages.

Make it 3 passes minimum and that way if one of the guys gets his tune-up/chassis dialed in he might run a even better number.

Two passes with engine/ chassis issues just shows more tuning/testing required.
Jack has a bunch of runs, Dick may have a few, (Hopefully more than a few though).

That isn't a stock firewall or firewall location. As said above the modified cowl panel looks like it is cut around 4"+. My guess the motor is set back 4-6"???
