Default Can anyone tell me what this is

Got these pics thru a colleague. the stamping would mean "Deutsches Reiches Gebrauchs Musterschutz" which I guess is a german patent protection used from before WW1 to end of WW2. What does this tool do and for what?

Question

At first I thought ammunition loading press,
but I've never seen a multi gauge press so I don't think so.

Oh, that's one of those! Very rare, haven't seen one of those in years! I think my neighbors cousin's sister in law's grampa had one.

just some educated guesses here.
first off its not for punching holes, the punches are rounded on the ends and the die (holes) are chamfered. So I'd say its for forming cups of various dia.s. How close in size is the punch from the hole? the bigger the gap the more likely its for forming mat'l. If the size is very close, a couple of thousands of an inch then it would be for cutting or piercing.

It's a press for making various size press/hammer in plugs ....like freeze plugs, from metal blanks, or for swagging tubing adapters.
