Hi John
You have a 1969 A body nodular 4 pinion rear end. Casting should be 9795084, sometimes a digit is missing. It should have a large cast "N" on top of the casting near the yoke. 1970 nodular rear end should be 9799202 Steve |

9795082 sounds like a 3.55 std rear (non-locking), not a 4 pinion model

Thanks for your replies.
Does that mean it is an 8.2? Where is the best place to buy axles from please, and what should I expect to pay for them? John |

gray iron '69 8.2 Pontiac with sealed axle bearings, RW507CR.
Axle length is same from mid '66 through '69. Moser Engineering should have specs on file. if I was in New Zealand, might try sourcing some nice used axles through networking with other enthusiasts your way. New from the states are going to be very expensive. BTW, Typw "0" '67-69 Oldsmobile A body 28 spline axles will also work. same length, same pitch splines, same axle bearing.
