Here is one from the same dyno last year, with the power turned down just a little.

There should be a video of George running the "Dirty Indian" funny car and beating it (which is a good video).

Eds TR6 is cool! Who'd ever think someone would put a Pontiac in one!

Your GTO is probably close to same power as Eds combo Kris. IIRC you both started your builds near the same time. (mine is still in crawl mode) I've admired both of them a long time now!

Turbo'sTTF! FactoryIronTTF!

Kris's signature..."'69 "GTO" street car... 464" Injun with 85mm single turbo, th-400, 3.31 gears, 9.5" PTC converter, 850 CSU carb, 242/236@.050 114lsa cam, tomahawk intake, ported #197 factory heads, cast crank, factory block. Custom stainless headers & piping. All work & fab. by owner. 3650lbs *8.93/154.1 1.37 60ft. on 275 radials."

i can vouch for that "hot to ride in " part . lol 1,000+ miles on drag week was punishing to put it lightly. still had a blast though.

69GTO is making more power then the normal 794 or so that I put to the tire, his car is 600 pounds heavier and has been within 3 mph of my fastest mph.

Thanks for all the nice comments!

Rob, sorry I cooked you in my car, what was the coolest day 94?

Always liked the TR6. Always liked pontiacs. I would not have thought of combining the two. But it could be the quickest TR6 on the planet. Congrats. Factory Blocks? Enjoy it! Only the rocks live for ever.

Great job Ed. It was nice to chat with you a bit again at QA1 on Friday.

I was in the process of building a ProCharger engine for my Firebird when I ran into the TR6 at a car show. I saw the car earlier in the year at Power Cruise, so I knew it was fast, just not that it was Pontiac Powered. When he left the show like he was late for work, I knew then it was time to switch to a turbo.

Nice talking with you again, your turbo engine sounds a lot better then mine, and should make some crazy power when you turn it up. Very nice car also!

Have had the TR6 42 years and always like the AC cobra type cars so I built my own with the Pontiac stuff I was racing with in my 68 Firebird.
