Here’s a very rare opportunity to purchase this 1969 GTO. After nearly 30 years of owning this fantastic machine, the time has come for someone else to enjoy it. The GTO was purchased at Bill Beck Pontiac in Charlotte, NC in September 1969. The car was originally lime green with a dark green interior and a 400cid with an automatic transmission. When I purchased the car in August 1987, it had been painted red and someone had converted it to a manual transmission.
The GTO has 66,400 original miles and is stored winters and has been driven 100 to 200 miles a year for the last 20 years.
In 2011, the car was striped to bare metal and painted Matador Red at J & D Enterprises in Lockport, IL. A new vinyl top was installed along with weather stripping, new windshield, and trim pieces.
In 2014, fresh BF Goodrich tires were put on the car.

Exterior
The paint is in excellent condition and there is absolutely no bondo or rust anywhere on this vehicle. It sits on 14 inch chrome Cragar rims with BF Goodrich P215/70R14 in the front and P245/60R14 in the rear.

Interior
The black interior is in great condition. There are no rips in any of the seats or the head liner. The carpet was replaced several years ago and is in perfect condition. The dashboard was replaced some years ago and has no cracks. It has the original AM radio. The kick panels have been replaced this past winter. The original speaker dry rotted and needs to be replaced.

Drivetrain
The engine is a 515 horsepower 468 (455 bored .030 over). It’s fed by a custom made Pro Systems Pro-series xc 4150 carburetor that sits on top an Edelbrock 7156 Performer RPM intake manifold. The engine has TRW L2359f30 pistons, slp 300k030 rings, sum g6419 push rods, and cca 3112 timing chain. The cam shaft is a Competition Cam ex284-H10 camshaft. The 5c heads contain stainless steel valves and have been ported and polished and cut .030 to bring the compression to 9 to 1 so it runs great on 92 octane fuel. The head work was performed at High Speed Performance in Mokena, IL. On the exhaust side, powder coated Hedman Headers feed the exhaust into 3 inch Pypes X-pipe exhaust system. The engine is connected to a Super T-10 4 speed transmission with a Hurst Competition shifter. Putting the rubber to the road is a posi-traction 3.55 rear end.

Suspension and brakes
The front suspension was rebuilt over the years with new bushings, tie rod ends and center link. The rear suspension has air shocks with coils. It does have power steering with a quick ratio gearbox and power front disk brakes. Mechanically everything is flawless.

Other stuff
It needs emergency brake cables. Didn’t have them when I bought them and I never bothered to install them.
It does leak some oil. I can't tell if it's the oil pan gasket or maybe rear seal. Doesn't really bother me much.
The car has the original spare tire and jack.
I will also include the original Rally II rims.
