Does anyone know of someone who restores stock plastic steering wheels?

There was someone doing it professionally as I recall but if I remember correctly, they were quite a bit more expensive than a new stock woodgrain wheel. Like maybe a Grand?
I have one that I plan to attempt a home resto on with the POR-15 or Eastwood kit but it's way down the list of things to do right now. By the way, the 'plastic' wheel is known as the 'Deluxe' wheel. The 'wood' one is the 'Custom Sport' wheel.

Greg, Thanks for the reply. I will probably work with the Eastwood kit again. Max

I took a chance with a guy that does Ford steering wheel restorations because I wasn't about to drop a 1000.00 with the known steering wheel restoration companies. Website is fiftesford (818) 471-5800.
Came out nice, but not perfect. He did have to do it twice. Price was right at 200.00 If you contact the guy, let me know now you make out. Good luck. |

Greg, Good information. I still may try to do it myself again. Thanks!
