I was pulled over the first year I put the non expiring plates on, the same numbers/ letters are used on all the diff color /year plates, the most current comes up, I have a letter from sec if state to present to the police if pulled over. That's what you need to do, none of them are in the data base. It wanting at sec of state that same year either, the blue plate came up when she ran it, some guy in Lansing would get all my tickets not me lmao.

My wife, son and I are on vacation in Toronto, we are heading home Saturday morning so we are going to drive across Canada and come back to the states via Detroit. Don't have any plans for anything specific. For a first timer to the dream cruise any advice? I am driving my Dodge truck, no car this time.
Thanks,Craig

A couple of these guys were in their mid 80s and original owners plus from the Detroit area. I'm talking about the red and medium brown Larks. They might know something. One of them even had a beautifully restored stud in a stude transport truck ..... that sounds more stud on a stude. Ewww, don't think I' d better go there.

In fact watch the run that begins at min 9:10. and then look at the clock at the end of the run. How many times have you seen that happen? In fact the closeness of most of the runs is amazing at a few 100ths apart. That's my grandson with the "oh S**t". He did the vid and I did the still shots.

Find a place to park and and hop on the shuttle it cruises the whole cruise and its free you can get off where ever you like and re-board when they come by again that way you see it all without the hassle of driving.

Enjoy Gregg

That's good honest racing.

Frankly, the best I'd ever seen. I used to run NHRA pure stock starting in 1960 so that's right up my alley.

No need to apologize. The darker, evening pictures are exactly how the cars look at that time of night. They look really cool. Makes me feel like I am back on Woodward again at the Dream Cruise!

Thanks for posting. Jim

Spent the day on Saturday in Birmingham watching the cruise. I thought there were more and nicer cars this year than last year. Also enjoyed the great show of parked cars downtown on old Woodward Ave. Some sharp Pontiacs, Studebakers and AMCs. Someone had a '65 Riviera badged as a Pontiac, interior trim and all. Looked nice but I didn't get the point. Some were guessing Canadian model, but not likely. Very warm but a fun time.

I rented a space south of 12 mile, nice, we had access to the restroom in the bussiness plus the air was on, the GF liked the snacks and the wine inside, next year I'm doing a 10x 20 out front. All is invited to stop except Norwood. Lol
I posted 40 some pics on my forum, if I get the urge I'll post them here, pontiacs are in most, I saw a 61 cat with dogdish on, prob someone from here, it was Mint.

There had been an accident in Pontiac at M59. A couple civilians - looked like maybe one was going the wrong way on the loop. The other car was upside down. This would be in a supposed "low speed" intersection in city traffic.

Let's be careful out there.

Car that flipped was from Wisconsin. We saw it on the way home.

This is the Riviera 2+2 mentioned in a previous post. Unsure of the inspiration but it has a tri power 421, 4 speed, 8 lugs and many other Pontiac features and badging. Lovely car, I assume the owner is just daring to be different. Bruce
