My 55 BelAir I bought in 1980 when I was 19, paid $1000. The 1/4s were more bondo than metal. I sold it in 1983 and bought my 65 GTO for $1300.

While sitting in one of many traffic-jams during the 2007 HRPT I jumped out to take a pic of the line behind me. Somebody recently pointed out to me that this pic looks like a scene from a movie...guess which movie.

I like this color Photo Better, I was thinking the striped pant suit was so she could Blend in with the Bonneville's optional Valancia but I see the colors are wrong for that.

Two Guys was a weekly trip for our family in Keasby NJ. Remember saving green stamps and trading in for 45 records. They had a great arcade, skee ball and helicopter game. On the way out was always amazed to get a soda from the machine that dispensed cup, then syrup/seltzer

[QUOTE=Alvin;5432836]Does that say "Flood Pontiac" when zoomin view? Wonder where that dlr was located?
Flood Pontiac was Dealer Code 04-155, located in Washington, DC at 4221 Connecticut Ave. Google search indicates the dealership began in 1933, son took over from the original owner, then business closed in February 1980. Lots of stuff on the net about the biz. http://www.washingtonpost.com/archiv...-09bf73b02a0c/ https://books.google.com/books?id=f3...avenue&f=false |

Alvin, thx for posting the shot of the '64 GTO. I'm pretty sure that must be the Presley movie I was watching on TV years ago. As the movie ended Presley is at an intersection, I recall the camera pulling away from above and in the last instant I see what I swore was a '64 Lemans convertible going past Presley on the right. It was so quick (the shot, not the car), that I wasn't sure I saw what I thought I saw and for sure couldn't say it was a GTO.
So am I remembering correctly, is the shot of that GTO at the very end of that movie? |

That imdb page seems to indicate it was the same car. I did hear it was red at one time but had never seen photos with my own eyes. Mighty nice of Mr Mitchell to let Elvis drive it around a bit.
I was kind of hoping it was a second car - a kit - since I think that car is the most beautiful ever made. I'd come out of retirement to build one of those if a kit was available. K
