Actually might be a nice project, if he gave any useful information (like a price)...

Only 1% left for it to be completely finished. Matching numbers.

I'd bet that guy will tell you the biggest lie there is: "It just needs freon!"

"car is almost completely original" Except for everything you see in the pictures and all the things listed in the text.

I'm curious to know what the code on the build sheet is for those wheels.

If they could just see the impeccable panel alignment, they'd quit low balling me and pay my price.

Everyone sees it has a '78 front end, a '79-'81 taillight assy, an '80-'81 Turbo 4.9 hood covering a 350-455 Pontiac with no air cleaner and the AC compressor removed. I hope it is all "matching numbers" like so many other deal on here. I'll bet the AC on this one also just needs freon.

That would be a great highway cruiser, winter commuter/tank....just as it is.

How come all the good deals are 3,000 miles from me?

More closely resembles the '73-'77 "A" and "G" chassis underneath, I am waiting for someone to put up an ad for a 1980 GTO project, being the Phoenix replaced the Ventura (on which the '74 GTO was based), and of coarse the FWD Phoenix/Citation replaced the RWD Phoenix/Nova. Using the logic applied to this '79 "Catalina GTO", I don't see why not LOL.

I've never seen one, but maybe this one is just missing the woodgrain and trim due to the primer, ready to paint stage

Most of these last few ads have one thing in common. They come from areas where the wacky weed is legal. Nuff said.
