Sometimes less is better have only put 300 miles on the car and was over the 4 speed no fun clutch was to heavy and made driving tiresome so I decided to go back to plain old stock clutch. What a difference my car is now enjoyable to drive and I'm ecstatic. Got rid of the 11'' center force setup and aluminum flywheel. With a nice stock flywheel picked up from the forum and a 10" standard clutch and pressure plate swapped out in a day and had Pete Serio go through my shifter this thing is now drivable. Took it down for an alignment and centered the steering wheel. Finally made the grant kit work and finished off the column still saving for a wood wheel but will have to wait for now. Going to take it to the painter next week and have him do the finish buff on it. So far looking good 5 years later. Thanks for all the help !

DAMN!! That is a good looking GTO! Nothing wrong with making it more fun to drive.
Pete has done some shifters for me and I know they are right. |

I just put in an aluminum flywheel, a dual disc Mcleod RXT and the pedal is softer than stock!! I needed the extra holding power. Clutch technology has come a long way!

Centerforce 3500 lb pressure plate only a year old was real stiff 10 puck disc just didn't need that much clutch for my use.

I did the same thing. I went from a 3500 lb dual friction unit locally built to a RAM unit and I did not regret it one bit. It has a soft feel and grabs well
