Reason for the sale is I only have a one car garage, a new GT350 on order and a wife that doesn’t understand that more than 2 cars for one person is reasonable Restoration: The first work I had done was a recondition so I could make the car presentable and drive it daily. Rust on both quarter panels was removed by welding on quarter skins since full quarter panels weren’t available when the work was done in the mid-90’s. As my means increased I took on a thorough restoration. The body was completely disassembled and sanded down to metal. The sub-frame was removed. Rust was removed by welding in a replacement section of trunk floor, passenger rear shock tower, inner and outer wheelhouses, section of driver floor pan and rocker panels. All body sheetmetal that can be removed from the car was epoxy primed and painted on both sides. Body shell was epoxy primed. There was some previous accident damage before my ownership and includes the following: - first 3” of the passenger front subframe that attaches to the bumper was damaged and was straightened as best as possible. - The taillight panel was also damaged in an accident before my ownership and was repaired as part of the restoration. A few pictures are below but many more pics are available in the following Photobucket album: http://s781.photobucket.com/user/68f...brary/FIREBIRD PM me, Mike, with any questions Last edited by firebirdmi; 09-09-2015 at 12:46 AM.
