Default Looking for some help on pricing parts.

Not really sure where I need to post this so Ill try here.
Mods feel free to delete if this is the wrong spot.

My sons has some parts....mostly mechanical stuff...we changed out on his 68GTO when we stroked his 400. Altho his car is a 68 a lot of the parts are I believe date coded 69......,his block date codes to a 69.

Brent would like to post these parts for sale in the classifieds but we have no idea about what would be a fair price. I've tried going thru the classifieds to get a idea on price but haven't had a bunch of luck there.

We can post a list of the parts and photos...just don't know where to start and what to ask for them.

Any ideas

Bill

Bill,

It really depends what you have. Many 68 parts are one year only.
One thought would be to put the list up in the classifieds with high prices and a comment "unsure of the value / accepting offers"

Thanks for the replies guys

I'm going to try and pull the parts this week end and get some photos and date codes. What we have ain't nothing special but the parts came off a low mile rebuild.

Just a few of the items, these where taken off the engine about 2 years ago when he stroked the engine.
Nice dual snorkel air cleaner for a 69, complete, with original chrome top.

Set of 62 heads, complete . The shop that stroked Brents engine said the heads appreared to have been gone thru not too many miles ago. Besides that we know not of what where done to the heads.

Factory chrome valve covers
Standard exhaust manifolds and factory 4 bbl intake.

Set of 4 piston front
disc brake calipers..... one caliper was leaking. They come with rotors, dust covers, and brackets.

Munchie M20. May be a GM replacement according to the codes.
We had the tranny gone thru when we restored the car but it still wants to pop out of 4th on decel. Probably doesn't have more then 300 miles since rebuild.
Besides that it shifts both up and down very nice with no grinding. Brent got tired of throwing good money after bad and installed a TKO 600 last winter.
I'll find the receipts on what was done to the tranny and post that list.

Stock drive line with a new yoke

There are more items on the shelve and in boxes...I'll try to go thru whats there this week end

Thanks

Bill

69 air cleaner $150-250.
#62 heads $250-350
M-20 $600-800
Brakes $250-300
Just my opinion and low figures are based on quicker sales.

Thanks GW
I got some photos of everything yesterday.....".good gawd"....dang near put my back out lifting some of these parts, especially the heads, tranny and the box containing the disc brake parts.
Adding on Shipping charges I would quess might make them less attractive to a buyer.
Selling them local may be the best option
I'll talk it over with my son tomorrow and see how he wants to handle selling them

Bill
