Monday we will switch to EFI on the low rise and then put the R manifold w EFI on to see what we end up with race gas wise. After that the E85 fuel will be tested and compared to the VP-c14.

Good luck Monday on the new tests, Alex!

Thank you all for the kind words, it has been a long and hard road to get here and it is all worth it . These dyno sheets I just put up are from Monday. The 913hp/765tq was with the low rise / 1050 dominator at 30 degrees timing. The R manifold was bolted on with the same 1050, note this manifold is as cast other than the port matching to the unaltered intake gaskets. With that we had got 940hp/825tq. This is still only carbs right now but time just wasn't in our favor as I am all of you know how that goes. We did get one pull on e85 (1250 carb) before the dist. rotor came apart ending the night early. with a careful 27 degree timing and short pull we got 956hp @6500 and 831tq @ 5600.

After competing on methanol for close to 20 seasons, I'd say you needn't be terribly "careful" with ignition timing on E85. Looking forward to the numbers!

Jack I am sure you are right but this was a new carb and really didn't know how close/far off it might had been out of the box.

Mark Sullen modded the carb for E85 so I will give him a call today to review what we have right now.

A few have asked about EGT's, we didn't use them this time as there are a few issues with some probes but reading the plugs for both the lowrise and the R manifold read perfect across the board.

I have a new to me 67 bird with the motor out of gto in it. First time out last week, got a couple small things to change but it's a runner. Gto is getting 455.based motor and will see more street driving than track.
