An XF coded rear end in an A Body?
Finally have this thing up on the lift and getting everything written down. Surprise, its not an M20, but a 1979 vintage Super T-10.
The rear end is interesting though. The rear end is coded XF, which is a 68 Firebird code for 3.23's, I cannot find any evidence of the A Body perches being welded, I haven't pulled the cover yet, but mid to low 3's seems right. Here's a couple pics-

XF was a coded rear in 1969 and 1970 A-body.
1967 and 1968 for the Firebird. I think yours is a 1970 possibly?  Try this: Axle Code Search

 frittering and wasting the hours in an off hand way.... 1969 GTO, 455ci, 230/236 Pontiac Dude's "Butcher Special" Comp hyd roller cam with Crower HIPPO solid roller lifters, Q-jet, Edelbrock P4B-QJ, Doug's headers, ported 6X-8 (97cc) heads, TKO600, 3.73 geared Eaton Tru-Trac 8.5", hydroboost, rear disc brakes......and my greatest mechanical feat....a new heater core.
