CPP 50004 Steering Box Question
After installing this steering gearbox, the steering is very tight. Is it typical that these gearbox's may need an initial pre-load adjustment? I did make sure that the system is bled. I do know that it needs an alignment, but I've got the toe roughed in close enough, so I'm not really counting that as a culprit. The ratio of the gearbox is 14:1 - I don't know what stock is.

Just to update this in case anyone else runs into this..I spoke with a tech at CPP who said that it's totally normal with those gearboxes for them to feel tight initially. He said a 500 mile break in period is typical.
