Hello I have a true ram air hood with the grilles in the inlets factory that I'm looking to sell. It is very near mint with all the slats no broken corners. Best one I've ever seen. Was told it was bought nos painted and found wouldn't clear the carbs on the car. Would like 500 located in Delaware or would trade for a vfn bolt on formula hood.

fyi: the vfn formula hoods dont have much more clearance than factory hoods. maybe 1/4" more. if you need more than that the vfn hood wont clear the carb either if thats your reasoning for wanting one.

dont get me wrong they are a very nice hood, i just bought a bolt on VFN formula hood for my 72 & its just about the same clearance as the factory formula hood im replacing.

I just picked up a set of fiberglass fenders that allow a bolt on hood. I think the factory fiberglass hood is too heavy for these new fenders

yes the vfn hood is very light, the bolt on is about 20lbs vs ~70lb for a factory hood. make sure you get the lightweight springs too, stock springs are too heavy. the springs vfn supplies with the hood are too light & wont hold the hood open, so you need to ask for the next step up springs for a full size car, vfn refers to them as the "gold colored" springs, as opposed to the "grey" ones they supply with the hood.

No, they are made in Canada with no logo. They are heavy fiberglass with factory bracing. They look like a stock fender even with the 70-73 valance bracket. Thanks for the info on the springs.
