Well,

I am the fortunate one Jim agreed to sell the car to. It will be headed up to Steve at My Muscle Car Memories in the next few weeks. I have been bidding on these every time one would come up on EBay. If I remember correctly, I was a bidder on both Formulas ultimately purchased by 71Gp76Ta and NJSteve. I was hoping for another chance.

Being a collector and lover of these types of cars, I know how hard it is to make the decision to sell one like this one. My hats off to Jim and I wish to thank him for allowing me the opportunity. As soon as Steve is done with my current restoration, he is ready to take this one on.

Great to hear that. If you need any detail photos from my car (your new car's twin sister), feel free to PM me. Time to start a new restoration thread here!

Operation sheemetal swap is complete, about 4 hrs for fenders and hood, 1/2 of the time was alignments and gaps. I know she'll be coming back apart, but I can't help myself. When you get her James, promise me you'll take her for some "exercise" before any changes are made to the intake or exhaust config ... you owe it to yourself. ))))

Guess what arrived today. Car looks and runs really good. It is going to be a great base for my plans.

Boss, I did take her out into the parking lot and put the spurs to her. Unfortunately, I was attracting a lot of attention, and because the police station is about a block and a half away. I decided the better move was to retire to the relative safety of the building and wait for a better opportunity. Sorry, no video.

Didn't take long to sell, no surprise. . .looking forward to seeing this one restored, awesome car!

So I be the one to ask, curious as to final answer regarding the initial thread question, what was it worth?

I will add that if the buyer/seller doesn't want that public I can respect that. Don't mean to ruffle any feathers here.

Dorothy, we are not in Kansas anymore, but Toto likes the SuperDuty Great Car, but that is like a dumb understatement.

Well,

I delivered the car to Steve this morning. He might chime in here with his opinion. We are talking about a 1 year restoration plan. I will put a thread on the forum as we get going.

As to the value of Jim's and my transaction, I would prefer the to keep that to myself. I am not offended in any way with the question. I will say it was worth quite a bit to me, and now with what I have seen in detail of the car, I am not in the least disappointed. This is going to be a great car!

Thanks,

James
