I saw this on CL today. To each his own but if this is a real RA IV car what a shame to do this to a rare car. Just my $.02

There is a never ending parade of knuckle head car guys, who's tastes in cars has not evolved any further than a 13 years old boys silly concept of what a car should be.
Owner should be embarrassed of what he did to this GTO!

"I would like to sell this car to an individual who appreciates GTO's and is looking for a special car like this one , to keep."
No, Bud. What you need to look for is someone who doesn't care about the value of keeping a RAIV car intact. Someone who can finish what you started and get DVD players into the head rests. He can call it whatever, but that car is not restored. |

That car has been for sale for a long time. It's going to take a long time to find the buyer that appreciates his sense of style… and is willing to pay the ridiculous amount of money that he expects to get for it.

Hope he really likes all those "personal" touches, as my guess is he will have the car a long time. Don't think anyone but him is impressed.

not sure why, but of all the "tasteful upgrades", if find the mirrors to be the most offensive even though they may be pontiac parts.

i wouldnt do half of those "upgrades" to a base tempest let alone a gto, possibly ra IV car. it would be interesting to see the PHS. what i dont get is he seems to know the importance of the right parts, matching #s, like the heads, carb, etc but then changing the rear & the trans. then theres the shiny red sparkplug wires, i guess to match the interior & the pillar gauges. better call soon he wont have it long, so he says. lance

He claims to have built the car as his dream car, yet has only put 20 miles on it since.
Huh, some dream car.

Not my taste either, but I don't see anything here that can't be easily remedied.
