talking about manuals, I was flipping through the channels the other day when something caught my eye. it was the hoarder show. someone had old car manuals and didn't seem too keen on throwing them out. well, the "expert's" reasoning to get ride of them was, they weren't needed any more because all the information was available on line now. that's all I watched of that.

you guys with these old parts book, throw them all away and just look the stuff up on line. it's all there.

Probably the only time I've seen that be the case is for vintage Honda motorcycles ... Honda was absolutely great about making illustrated parts manuals available for every year and model specifically. No "group" look up, part number right there by the illustration. And tons of people have scanned them and put them on the internet.

Sure wish GM made that information as easy to get.

I lose sleep thinking about people just throwing those old GM books away

The best handling GTO ever produced, & the GTO with the least amount of cars ever built. You are lucky at least you can buy just about anything you need for your car if you go through a few catalogs. So when you think your in a place where you complain about not having some part, think about us that own 73 GTO's , we have to take what left over because we are the STEP CHILD of the GTO's....

I promise you '68 owners that you are not alone. The same frustrations are felt by fellow '68 Corvette, 442, Chevelle, and GS owners.
Yes, even the '68 'Vette is an odd ball among the C3 fraternity.

Yeah, '68 was a transitional year for GM. How about the other makes? Not so much I don't think?

1968 was when the GM stylists escaped the booby hatch; as stated note the '68 442 - some neat styling down to the switchgear. 69 was back to the stolid Olds styling.
