Everyone in the company had to do annual inventory in the warehouse. Got a very attractive but married girl as my inventory partner. A couple of years later I found out she had gotten divorced and was past the all-men-are-evil stage. Co-workers went out to a bar after work and we ended up talking all evening and agreed to go on a date. I was so attracted to her she swears I was scraping the ice off her car windows as she was leaving. First date was pizza and beer at Bill's Pub in Mundelein. Married a year and a half later, and been happily married for 21 years.

She was literally the girl next door so I knew her from the age of 8. Started dating at 17. Her parents disliked me (hoodlum) so we had to sneak around for about a year. Married her at 18 and was fortunate to be able to spend 37 years with her.

It was August of 1961. My girl friend of 2 years had recently broken up with me, and I was transitioning from JC to the university. I went to visit a friend in North Hollywood who had been in some of my classes at the JC. We were talking in his front yard when a blue and white '55 Buick Century drove up. Out popped a bubbly and beautiful blonde. I was shy and introverted, so all I could do was observe. After she left I asked my friend if they were an item. He said no. I asked if they were dating regularly, and he said no (he must have been crazy). I asked if he minded if I asked her out, he said "not at all". Then I asked for her name and phone number. I really went out of my comfort zone giving her a cold call and asking her out. Our first date was to see the movie "The Parent Trap". She was 17 and I was 20. There was never another woman for me after that first date. We were married 4-4-64, soon after I graduated from college, and we were married until her sudden death in January of 2004. She is responsible for 2 children, 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Of course I also was somewhat responsible.

My first day at my new job at the Chevy dealer was at General Motors zone office. We had training school for the very first GM computers installed in the dealerships here (1985). I was on time for school, my co-worker (who I had never met) was 40 minutes late! I called my new boss to ask him where she was staying and he assured me she would be there soon. (The whole class had to wait to start until she showed up.)

I told her I had called the boss to see where she was and she was fuming (inside) but never told me.

We worked together in the same small dealership office once that training was over, me about 4 feet from her most of the day. I'm a parts guy, she's the receptionist/accountant. About 2 months later I asked her out because I had figured out this tall slender attractive young lady with the confident personality actually didn't have a boyfriend! She reluctantly went, vowing it would be a one date.

November 4th 2015 was 30 years after that fateful day where I ticked her off! We've been married since July 87, and very happily married I might add. We still work about 4 feet apart, still at the same dealership although she works about 3 days a week now and I work 4 days a week.

And she's still hot, 30 years later, even after giving me 2 wonderful children!

These are fun to read.

Here's mine:

I was out with a bunch of friends in San Francisco at a bar in North Beach. I saw this cute blonde walk in and assumed she was with the guy she came in with and continued to admire from across the room.

A while later my buddies had a few drinks and started acting obnoxious so I stepped away and hung out by myself. Out of the blue the blonde came up to me and asked me to dance. It totally caught me off guard. I stuttered and mumbled something about getting a drink. I remember dancing very awkwardly then settling in at the bar as soon as possible. Turns out she was there alone with her roommate and her roommate's boyfriend (they're married now too). We talked the rest of the night.

Eventually the bar closed at 2am and we ended up out on the sidewalk. I was scrambling to find some way of getting her number, she had no problem walking away and writing it off to a fun night. Fortunately some girl with a giant purse happened to be walking by and in a desperate move I asked her for a pen and paper. Unbelievably the girl had both and I got her number. Called her a couple days later - here we are 2 kids and 15 years later.

As it turns out, she had a boyfriend she was in the process of breaking up with at the time. He tried to woo her back by showing up at her house with rented Mustang. She didn't tell me that until years later

My buddy and I were out cruising as every Southern California teenager did in 1966, and we kept passing these two girls always heading in the opposite direction. After several misses I made up my mind that we would catch them. Tried a little too hard and got a ticket for failure to yield on a U-turn. That ticket should have been an omen, but I missed the warning. After finally getting released from ticketing, we pulled into the A&W to console ourselves. Girls were leaving as we pulled in, but this time we caught up with them. That was the beginning of the end of my single life. We've been married 48 years and counting. 5 kids, 8 (going on 9) grand kids, and 1 great grand child.

I met her backstage when I was touring with Metallica.

Actually, she was in high school, and I was just out of college. I had signed up for the Navy that morning. A friend and I were hanging out when two really hot girls drove up. They knew my friend, and he went to the driver's window. That left me to lay down my mojo on the passenger. It worked. 26 years married now.

Turns out my future wife and my friend had dated briefly, and weren't on good terms.

I've joked with the wife that its a good thing my friend didn't go to the passenger window, or else she might've ended up the bridesmaid.

I met my 1st wife when I was in the Navy. I had been out doing a little bit of street racing in my 73, I was stationed on board the USS Savannah AOR-4 in Norfolk VA. I was at the main base not the the air base. I had been out testing the locals to see what was around & on the way back to the ship we a friend of mine Kenny & I pulled into the Burger King which was about a mile outside gate 4. We went in to get something to eat & what ever because we had had a few beers to that night. While standing in line I was looking at what to eat & saw in the back behind the cooks counter, you know the one they use to have when they actually made your burger fresh when you ordered it. She was standing there at the grill getting something from the grill before she came up to the ordering counter. Before she came up I looked over at Kenny & told him I was in Love & was going to marry that girl. He looked at me & said your just drunk & horney. We both laughed but I told him again I was going to marry her. Again he said you don't even know her name , wake up order your food & lets get out of here. She did take our order & I found out her name was Patty & she was single, & we were off. I think I came back just about every day for the next week. I found her on a break about a week later & walked right up to her & started to talk to her, she told me to sit down & I stayed there for about 1/2 hour. She told me to come back after she got off that night if I wanted to. I did & we talked for about 2 hours. We did go out about a week later. We hit it off real good. She wasn't a local girl so she wasn't one of the locals just trying to latch on to a sailor to get out of there, but was getting divorced & living with her sister. She was from Ohio, & me MI. So close there to. After about a month She moved into an apt. by herself & about 1 month after that I moved in to. My ship went out & during that time we talked all the time through the mail. She went back to Ohio to finish her divorce. I took some leave & she knew I was coming up there but wasn't sure when I'd show up for sure. I got to her apt. in Ohio & her roommate let me in as she wasn't home from work yet. I hid in her closet & when she came home the car was in the back where she couldn't see it, & when she opened her closet door to get some clean clothes well there I was ,, she grabbed a hold of me like see would never let go. Now comes the R rated part, while we were in the shower I got down one 1 knee & asked her to marry me ,, yes there in the shower. She said yes & well you can guess what happened after that. We were married for 13 years, before we split. But during the time we were married we had some great times.

I remember when you first started dating her - I called you one Saturday afternoon & you had just bought a wide screen projection TV but couldn't get it on the stand because you weren't feeling good so it was sitting on the floor. This "girl" you were seeing had come over to hang out & you were playing "kissy face" with her so you couldn't talk.

It was the day of my daughter's first communion, the party was at my ex's house so my family ended up leaving late afternoon & I left with them. When I got back home my buddy Tommy from next door yelled over asking what I was doing...nothing...he said you're coming with me.

We crashed his friend Roberts Kentucky Derby party - turns out he hadn't been invited either. Sandra was standing out on the deck with Robert's girlfriend Lori, she was single at the time & actually kind of hated men in general due to some bad relationships. Every guy there was hitting on her and she did her best to fend them off. The party broke up around 10 and several of us ended up going to Boston Billiards afterwards, she got in the car with me & we ended up at the bar talking while the others played pool. I asked her if she wanted to grab lunch next week some time - she said sure and wrote her cel & home number on a bar napkin and gave it to me....that was over 10 1/2 years ago.

The napkin is now framed and hangs in my office across from my desk.

I met my first wife on a blind date.. I used to attend a youth club and there was a super hot blonde in the group. Big bazookas - all the guys were hoping for a date. Great mate of mine got there first and asked her out. Damb!!!!!

Turns out she wasn't so sure so she said she wanted to bring a girl friend. So I was invited along to make up the numbers. I was still hoping Jill would be available so I went along for the ride.

But all of a sudden I thought hey, this tag along girl is pretty good herself. 3 years later we were married.

And that was just on 44 years ago. 3 fantastic girls and 4 grandkids we are still happily married. We have worked together for 25 years and I couldn't be without her.

Still introduce her as "my first wife". Still makes her laugh.

And we still have a great relationship with Jill. She married a guy and went to live in the US. Married and divorced 3 times so I have no doubt I got the best deal......

In the summer of 77 i had just graduated HS and found a job working at The Gap in the Mall. On my first day I rode up on my 76 Yamaha 250 Enduro and parked next to a perfect 73 340 Duster. Blue with white buckets and a white top. It looked like it came off the showroom floor the day before.
As the Manager was introducing me to all the employees, we got to the cash register and he introduced me to Patti. She was to be my trainer. Back then The Gap had their registers raised up above the floor a few feet. As she came over to say Hi, I found myself at eye level to 2 of the largest breasts I'd seen in a while (damn cancer took them away a few years ago). I then looked up and saw these 2 huge blue eyes and thought WOW. During the night things went fine, and at closing I offered to follow her to her car. Guess what, she gets into the 340 Duster!!! On my ride home I said to myself, I'm going to marry that girl. It took her 3 months to agree to go on a date with me. I guess I passed the test because on May 10th 1980, we married and have been together, very happy, since then.

Cool

Back in the early 80's, I was in Las Vegas for a week, at a training seminar for a company I worked for in Los Angeles, during the day we were in class in the convention halls at the Tropicana. After class, we were on our own, company even gave us a little gambling money. On Monday night, I was playing nickel slots, and across the row of machines, this incredibly cute gal who looked underage was playing a machine and we kinda flirted a little with the eyes. I figured what the heck and walked around to her row and played the machine right next to hers. We got to talking, she was there with her parents and grandparents on vacation from Canada. I asked her to have dinner with me and she said no. Ok... Next day after class I went back and guess who's back at the nickel slots... I asked her to dinner again and she agreed this time. Not gonna provide too many private details but let's just say we hit it off and had a little fling. I went back to LA and she went back to Toronto but we exchanged info. We were kinda pen-pals for about a year and I said "I'd really love to see you again" and finally she agreed she wanted to come visit. I had moved down to San Diego in the meantime. Sent her a round trip ticket, and when she got off that plane I almost passed out at how lovely she looked. She was there for a week. We had a wonderful time and when it came time for her return flight, her mother wanted to know when the plane was due in and what gate. When she told her mom she was staying in Cali with me, I could hear the screaming and yelling thru the phone. She said "I'm an adult and you can't make me come home"
Anyway, we lived together for about a year, got married, and we waited a few years to have kids. Been married 29 years. I love her more today than I did when we were young and I'm fond of saying "I hit the jackpot in Vegas back in the 80's and won a lifetime fortune!"
She loves GTOs by the way and we had a couple back then, I had a black '68 that I picked her up with that day at the airport..."This is your car? WOW, I love it!"
I'm quite the fortunate dude...

Was a bouncer in a Cleveland Ohio night club called The Mining Company in 1990. We had a girl that took the cover at the door. One Saturday, I went up to the front to tell her to close out. Standing there talking to her was a tall thin blonde. She introduces me, but being this had been one of the busy nights, I just said hi and left. Never really paid attention except for a quick ogle.

Fast forward a year. Was taking my 80 TA to get emissions tested. The power steering started squealing so I pull into a little strip mall. Was down on fluid, so I go walking over to a parts store at the end of the strip. Pass a bakery and hear pounding on the glass with someone waving me in. It was that blonde girl from the Mining Company and somehow she recognized me? She tells me that she is turning 21 next week and going out with friends. I said how about you meet them another time and let me take you out and she agreed. Been together ever since with two great kids.

I met my wife at an event sponsored by a social club for tall people. No joke. Married 24 years this past July.

She had hair down to her butt and was 6' 3" including the 4" spike heels. Yikes!
