Yes, pretty sure my first car 68 LeMans had the Factory AM with single rear speaker (fed by the Blue wire)


Changing that to a Delco Junkyard stereo with modern Jensen Triaxs & new package tray was such a well-defined project for a mid-teen. Oh and the radio shack 40 Watt EQ.

I do have the option rear power antenna

So what am/fm radio would come with rear speaker with no rear speaker switch on the dash. Like I said this is a late build. I did read some were, that they changed the radios in late production in 68. But I do not know what they changed. Anybody???

Did it have the rear speaker switch? I believe all am's did.

This is what I have come up with, after talking to a few people that the am/fm and rear speaker was dear installed. But no good answer on what radio they would have installed with no rear speaker switch on the dash.

Joe my '68 has the AM radio with power rear ant.(383)actually it just say's radio with power ant. and the rear speaker(391) and a switch above the cluster. PHS say also power bench seat but it just has a bench seat.

PHS say they are never wrong, so I just left it at that.
