I agree that $10 a copy is a little steep. I understand he has alot of startup costs and isn't as well distributed as the bigger publications. If I recall I think I paid something like $20 or $25 for a year subscription and got a free T shirt with the previous pontiac mag. My only holdout is I'd like to pick one up off a rack and flip through before I pay that kind of money for a magizine. I just have a bad taste left from the last two pontiac publications where I had multiple issues I felt were half assed, lacking content and not very entertaining.

I was under the impression that this was not going to be available via newsstand......at least not initially. $10 one time is a deal breaker to get a peek at the magazine potential / content? How much do you spend on tools, supplies, restoration services, etc.?

I've no dog in this race, but find it ironic that people will stand in line for a $6 - $10 cup of scalded coffee, but $10 for this...????

Not sure about the whining about the $10. Hopefully in 15-20 years that original issue will be something highly sought after.

Having recently moved quite a few heavy boxes of old Pontiac magazines, I'll be happy to subscribe to the Ezine version. i honestly dont need the clutter. If anything earth breaking tech wise, can always download and print out a page, put in a file for future personal use.

Reason 2, Don is good people!

Default I'm in.

I've just stumped up my $14.50 (for International postage)

And I'm not whining. I'll give him a chance and I really hope this magazine does well.

You can get an annual subscription in digital format for $30/year: http://worldwidenewsstand.com/Poncho...php?page=login I am going that route myself, I would rather have PDFs on my computer and tablet than magazines laying around.

Well scratch my last comment. I just paid $29.99 for access and now I find out I need to use Flash in order to view the magazine issues. That is not convenient at all. If they do not provide PDFs that I can load on my tablet or computer then I wouldn't bother and just wait for a print edition.

Read the article on Fred Simmonds.
Very cool!

I would have asked him about all the research he did on Pontiacs and see if he had more data to reveal.

Just happened to stumble on the fact that this will be a print magazine. Don has some work to do getting the word out. With the brand out of business, some of his best and least expensive advertising options are gone. I love the fact that a print version is going to happen. Knowing Don as I do, you will get your $10.00 bucks worth. It's the new reality of putting out a quality magazine, on good paper and getting it mailed out in small numbers. Best of luck to Don. It's a HUGE gamble on his part and no doubt a huge investment as well. If you have the 10 bucks, lets help him get this off the ground. After the crap deal he got from POCI from all his years of hard work, he deserves a break.

Generally, a magazine on the newsstand takes 6-8 weeks for the first issue to arrive. And, as a start-up, Pontiac Perfection should have its own timeline from press to mailbox.

But I have to wonder why you don't go to the source and ask for clarification? Complaining on the Internet without first talking to Don doesn't really do anything but possibly hurt Don and the Pontiac hobby.

I am patiently waiting as well, I contacted them after my digital purchase because the only way to view the digital edition was by an outdated flash app that does not work on tablets. I have not yet received an answer or received a digital edition that I can view on my tablet. I want a new Pontiac magazine to succeed but it has to work for 2015+.
