Well the M22 transmission has come back from Dennis Maroudas (DME LLC) and it looks good. He installed a master rebuild kit, rebuilt the shifter, replated the shifter, shift rods and reverse lockout, and replaced (free of charge) the heavily worn front bearing retainer with a barely worn used GM piece. In addition, at some point all the fasteners in the transmission had been replaced with aftermarket stainless bolts and he replaced these with correct replated fasteners. The guy is good. The trunnions on the shift rods are replated which I think differs from original, but I can probably live with that.

Here's a few pictures...

Dennis is just across the WV line in Eastern Kentucky. About 1.5 hours from the garage. He's very well known in car restoration circles, and sets up at a lot of the eastern US car events. Here's his info.

Things are rolling today. The master cylinder is now back together and finished. I had it powder coated and a very talented friend machined the surfaces that were supposed to be machined and added the correct EB stamp on the front pad. Bitchin. I still need to get the correct cap out for plating, but had an old repop I stuck on it for now.

Well, a few more things got done. The air cleaner is all back together and ready, it just needs the 455HO sticker for the lid that has yet to arrive. I had it powder coated 90% gloss and it looks good. Also, I've been holding onto a new NOS ThermAC vacuum switch and finally used it. I attached the the vacuum actuator hold downs using stainless rivets and then painted them black.

Also, I went ahead and used the Prothane bushings on the upper rear sway bar drop links. Those are now pressed in and actually look pretty nice. They were a bitch to get in. Here's a few pictures.
