The whole unit certainly looks original and correct. I just do not recall seeing those numbers stamped on a fan or the circular openings between blades. I have seen more uniform slots between the blades. Who knows? Multiple vendors for the same parts. I will look at a couple of 927's that I have and attempt to post photos.
I guess I had 3 of them. All appear to have the same fan. Last edited by Uncle Judge; 02-18-2016 at 02:15 PM. |

Thanks Mike and BJ,
I bought those seat covers when I bought the Judge about 15 years ago. Not sure how long Jeff had them. Bought Mike's 71 Saddle seats out of his Avery first car, and he still races it. Took the seats out long time ago and decided to sell. I had new covers done professionally over the frames. Put new foam, and added more padding..etc.. As usual more work than thought. But, the results are awesome. Plus, I still have my original Judge seats with the roach burns in the rear seats and all...

Mike - I would try degreasing it, gentle buffing on a soft wire wheel, and then satin clear coat. Won't hurt to try before sending it off.

I'm guessing this Alt was buffed out and then sprayed with a satin clear? Any particular brand soft wire wheel you used to buff with? Where did you purchase it? Nice job, very well done!

Just the fan, pulley, shaft, bolts and nut. It's a Weiler wheel with .006" crimped wire. Most wire wheels are .014". I have a pedestal grinder set up with both and use the fine face wheel on more delicate things where a better finish is wanted, or when I'm trying to preserve original plating.

So you just blocked the original color down and then put primer on it and blocked that down?

Needed a new quarter and wanted to match the paint all over. That's the best way to get that result. Plus new stripes...

Not hanging the hood for the natural overspray effect?
