Default Mystery hubcap

I stumbled across this old hubcap in a creek today while looking at a bridge project. Not sure what it's off of, or if it's an M or a W. Anybody know?

A view of the whole cap would help.

I don't recognize the logo, but it could be an aftermarket hubcap - back in the day, aftermarket companies would sell replacement hubcaps, but since they didn't want to pay licensing fees to the auto manufacturers they would create a logo that kind of looked like OEM but wasn't.

I solved the Scooby Doo mystery. It's off a late 30's Oldsmobile. The whole thing is odd with the M and the shield, but that's what it is. It's in really bad shape, and may just go on the wall

When I get back to work on Monday I'll take another pic. This thing is in very poor shape, although the center emblem is nicer than the one on eBay. I work in public utilities, mainly repairing water mains and services. You never know what you're going to unearth while digging. Mostly beer/soda cans and bottles, but you do get a surprise from time to time. The coolest thing was an old 392 Hemi engine block with one cylinder head still bolted up. We uncovered it after draining a pond for a park project.
