Shane's the only one I've seen looking like he's fully suited up every time, neck collar and all.
I bet they all are looking at their gear now after Dave and Chief both got hurt. My wife may beotch about speed part costs but she doesn't say a word about safety equipment costs, and even encourages buying whatever I feel is necessary.

Big Chief,
Its good that you're ok and that nobody else was injured to bad. Definitely all of your work to the car saved your life and for that you should be thankful. Yeah it sucks that the car is totaled but every time we all get into our cars and onto the road we are risking for that to happen. I love watching the show and never miss an episode. Keep up the great work and can't wait to see the ProMod that we recently caught a glimpse of. Stay safe

Well he said in the last show on TV (when he was talking to his wife) that he always wanted to drive a Pro Mod. If I heard right the wife said, "only have one life, go for it"
Congrats to Big Chief on the Pro Mod License! Tom V.

Looks like Chief's near death experience has made him realize how trivial some of the guys BS is for not racing. He really took Doc to task last night, which I get, you're number one, your race is next, race! Although when he was number one his race was generally last. And he was all over the guys for helping Reaper.
I'd rather see the extra drama go away, do more on the cars, set ups and racing. Last night was the first time I muted the show for segments in a couple of years. Although I don't care for all the extra drama Justin showed some serious leadership skills, even if it was in Outlaw Street form. I'm going to have to deal with something similar with our little band of Outlaws soon, so seeing his reaction was a little inspiring.

If you follow along real well and follow the podcast you will realize the run orders are not always as they show them on TV. In one of the Podcast they talk about how they showed the Kye and chief race till last even though they were the first pair sent...
The editing is where everything is at...

I would have thought the # 1 guy , would have his choice when to run , first , last , or in between

I would think #1 might at least get you lane choice, like a regular racers low et.

it would have been nice, to hear some more detail of what was done to the cars. the info is out there. between the pod cast, youtube, etc., but still would've liked to seen it on the show.

I noticed how they are using the small door mounted cameras more often now for filming even though the film may not be used on a specific segment. Looks like the sometimes use that for the new video at the end of the show.

The production crew will record everything. As a general rule 10 minutes of footage equates to about a minute of useable footage.
It would surprise me if there's 50+ hours of footage shot for each episode. I'm lucky in my circumstance to have only about a 2:1 ratio of raw to useable footage. The side work I do for SVTPerformance.com is wasily 10-15:1 raw to useable.

Shane with the black Vega crashed. Don't know what happened, but they said that they didn't think that he was going to make it at first but is supposed to be ok now.

He is okay I heard and is home now. Those short wheel base cars are hard to handle sometimes.

"Shane's the only one I've seen looking like he's fully suited up every time, neck collar and all."
That might be what saved him at the end of the day. Glad he is home and ok. He was just getting his "program" to come around. Tom V.
