I need to have seamless aluminum gutters installed on my house. I just emailed for a couple of estimates. Just wanted to throw it out there and see if any of you have some knowledge about the subject either as customer or installer.
Any idea of what kind of money I'd be talking for these basics?

1 - 32' straight run, two story down spout
1- 32' straight run, three story down spout
2 - 25' straight runs, 1 story down spout

Plain white aluminum, simple profile, no turn outs on the down spouts, no deflectors.

No old gutters to remove, new fascia boards and fascia ... straight and strong.

I'm in a rural area ... so not like it would be Boston or NYC area pricing.

Any comments welcome ... I have zero experience having seamless gutters installed ... I did the last gutters in vinyl 20 years ago .... and they suck ... both the product AND my installation

How the heck to they get up to the roof? I have a 35 hyd boom, man lift on site they can use if they want .... but the OSHA inspection has expired

We always used Alcoa .320. They had the best resistance to leaf acids,because of the factory applied c oating. I do not know if you can get that coating on gutters made on site. Check with contractor. My 2cts.

Go with 5 inch gutter instead of standard 4 inch and larger downspouts. It will hold up better and it looks better on the house. Most will give you price per foot and then adder for each story. It's been too long since I had my contracting business to put a number on it.

Make sure you get the screens also known as leaf guards.

With todays pricing your going to pay about $ 2.50 per foot. That is total feet of running gutter & downspout. It looks like you will have about 133 running feet so you can figure that out at $ 2.50 per. If you go with 5" which is a much better size for any house but most charge about $ 3.50 per foot. Just figure it out & you should be within a few dollars of your needed price.

X3 on oversized downspouts for sure. Did that when I had my last ones put in. Moved to new place that does not have them. Big difference. Also, the hidden/K mount with the screws is far superior to the gutter nail type. If you ever have to repair or replace, it is much easier and more durable overall.

Reading that cost guide… When I build my place back in 2002, I had the seamless guy do copper. At that time it was CHEAPER than Alum. Same deal with roof. It was cheaper to do copper than Steel. I had a 3700 SF house gutters with a big 12/12 roof done for under $3k in all copper. Looks like things have certainly changed.

For your part: Be sure to have adequate drain tile to take the water somewhere.

Troll around Lowe's or sheetmetal/roofing shops to spot the guy with the gutter machine on a trailer etc. They will be psyched for the lift!

All the water dumps into a hard drain lines already installed in the ground and running way out onto the property.

Thanks for the tips on 5" ... didn't even know there was such a thing.

I do live in a HEAVY snow area .... new roof on with all the thick rubber "ice/water" shield underneath going up about 4' and on all the eaves and roof edges, plus the new synthetic underlayment. Roof is 5/12 so pitch isn't bad at all.

I'll take note of the hidden screw option.

I just built all new fascia boards ... 1 1/2" dimension lumber rather than typical 1", all painted, covered with "ice/water" shield, AND covered in vinyl fascia ... so I'm hoping they provide a very robust anchor for the gutters.

I'd go for the copper .... if it was only a few hundred more ...but I'm guessing it's about double these days .... haven't used the calculator ... thanks for that by the way.
