Default Frame issue

Hi,
My drivers side wheel sits too far back in the wheel well so I started to investigate why.
Below is what I found. The lower control arm attachment point to the frame has bee re welded/repaired
Hopefully this is the right area to ask for suggestions on how I can get this fixed.
I live in Illinois so if someone also knows a good shop that can do this type of repair please let me know.
Thank you

Im not even sure if anything CAN be done. It looks like its just not "square" and so I think the lower arm is just not in the correct position.
The car is a 67 GTO.
Thanks!

I'm no frame guy, but that mount looks like its twisted down. if you can get it back up, that may fix your issue. You need a good frame guy that can take measurements of both sides and compare. Then you will know what needs to move where. Anything can be fixed when you find the right guy.

From the looks of it an old collision repair, and not vert well executed. The damaged portion can be properly straightened by a knowledgeable person.

Another option would to cut out the damaged section and replace it with a donor section of frame from an undamaged frame. Don't be discouraged, it can be repaired as good as new with the right person doing the work.

If you need to replace that section of the frame I have the front K frame section of a 64 frame. I had the frame blasted and found it was bad in the center so I bought a new frame. I can cut sections from it if you or anybody needs pieces. I also have the complete rear cross member section.

It's a lot of work but if you can find another frame that may be the way to go. You can redo the new frame so it's looking like a new frame with all new parts & fresh paint , then swap it over to your car which will give you everything new under the car.

Buying another frame might be cheaper and definetly better in the long run.
